R. S. Bastard, who was defended by Mr. V. de P. Gillen, denied having ridden a motor cycle without a light in O'Connell street, North Adelaide, on May 22. The defendant explained he had a light when he left home, and on finding it had gone out, he relighted it. Corroborative evidence was given by an independent witness The defendant's statement was accepted, and the information was dismissed.
